Andrea M. Maccarini

Andrea M. Maccarini is professor of Sociology at the University of Padova (Italy). His research interests lie in social theory, education and socialization processes, and cultural change, particularly in connection with collective identity. He is collaborator of the Centre for Social Ontology at the Grenoble École de Management, and member of the advisory expert group of OECD-Ceri for the international Study on social and emotional skills. His publications include Deep change and emergent structures in global society (Springer, 2019) and Barbarism and Modernity in S.N. Eisenstadt’s theory. Towards a cultural sociology of radicalism (in “International Sociology”, 39, 6, 2024).
